Kelsey has such a way with words. She always seems to make us smile with the way she expresses herself.
Recently, after leaving a pizza buffet, she observed, "The disappointing thing about stomachs is that they don't let you eat as much as you want."

Perking up the rooms
There are still many, many things on the to-do list at our relatively new house. in fact, it could possibly be called a to-do mini-novel! I am not a handyman. Or a handywoman. Or a handy anything!
So if I pick up a tool and use it successfully, I am proud.
Keegan chose this curtain rod (and the curtains, of course :).
I, yes I, used a drill and a screwdriver AND a studfinder to hang these curtain rods and curtains for Keegan and Kelsey.
Ok, the curtain part wasn't really that hard, but the drilling and stuff? Blech. Hanging curtain rods was something the handyman was supposed to do before he disappeared. Thankfully, I had my three trusty helpers who were always willing to pick up a dropped screw (we won't mention how many times that happened!) or go retrieve a different screwdriver, or any of those many things that would have had me climbing on and off of the stool even more than I did! The upside is that they look really cute :)! And now I know how to hang curtain rods :).
Then we added stickers and dry erase boards - that's more my speed!

Brooklin and Keegan looking at a picture of Keegan playing soccer.
Then Brooklin says, "Cindy? You can take my picture?"
Why yes, yes, I can!
Now THAT'S the kind of attitude I like to see ;)!

Caitlyn Quote
"I am reading an essay about the influence of medieval plays on Elizabethan drama."
Idk why I felt the need to post this one - partially because she just came into my room and said it, (my reaction was along the lines of, "Oooooookay.")
I guess partially because so many people believe homeschoolers, especially in Tennessee, are uneducated rednecks. To me, this seemed a very unredneckish thing to say :).
And, finally, because it is just so Caitlyn! It made me smile.

Brooklin Quote
Booklin (age 2), "I was being a pirate."
Me, "You were? What did you do as a pirate?"
Brooklin, "I scare Keegan and I say, 'Errrrr, Mateys!'"

We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo..
Actually we went to the zoo, zoo, zoo, but that didn't have the same ring to it :). And we did sing the song, repeatedly, with Little Miss Brooklin on the way there.
Up close and personal with a black bear

Not really sure why there was a toddler play area traveling display at the zoo, but we enjoyed it. Brooklin (and Caitlyn) spent quite a while in the vet area. Brooklin was styling in the red glasses.
Checking out some of the smaller animals
Then we spent some time playing at the splash pad.
