Keegan's and Kelsey's Awana group had an end-of-the-year almost slumber party :). Instead of sleeping over, the party was in the evening and lasted until midnight, although I picked up my girls before then. The girls could wear their pajamas. Kelsey cutely did. Keegan didn't, despite encouragement from her mother, haha.
And what a party it was! Keegan's and Kelsey's favorite friends were there. They had pizza and treats (we sent brownies and cracker kisses.) They played tag and dodge ball. They had a toilet paper dress making contest, which Keegan and Kelsey's team won with a finger woven necklace, made by Keegan - yippee! They received glow sticks as prizes (I think glow sticks are so cool!) There was touchy-feely, where they felt different foods (including applesauce!) and guessed what they were. They played shipwrecked, medic (more running games,) and shark and minnows. They had hair fixing and nail painting. And finally, a game where one friend lay on the floor and the other tried to drop a chocolate-sauce-covered marshmallow into her mouth! Oh, my. Keegan reported that she got marshmallows all in her partner's hair! Overall, they had a ball! The organizers did a great job and gave the girls a really fun experience!
