Soccer Saturday!

Soccer season is a lot of fun for our family. Both Keegan and Kelsey play.  Today's weather was perfect for it - not too hot, but dry and not cold. Fortunately, they play in a great, friendy league.  Unfortunately, they are in the same league, but on different teams, so they sometimes play against each other. Fortunately, today was not one of those days :).  Unfortunately, they both played on different fields at the same time today. Fortunately, neither Caitlyn nor I got whiplash from looking back and forth between the two fields. Finally, fortunately (although this would usually be unfortunate :), Keegan's game started about 20 minutes late, so that helped with watching both games at once.

Keegan is a very strong defender.  Not much gets past her. Her team also has a really good goalie, so it's pretty tough to score against them.

Today Kelsey played goalie for half the game.  This was unusual for her and stressful for me.  I always worry that the goalie is going to get trampled, even if I don't know him or her! So I was definitely concerned to watch my BABY in that position.

She liked it.  And did fine.  She didn't get trampled :).

 Both Keegan and Kelsey do good when they throw in the ball.  They usually do it pretty quickly, so the other team doesn't have time to set up.  Clever girls :).

 Kelsey has gotten a lot more assertive this year.  She used to kind of wait for the ball to bounce off of her.  Now she goes after it!

 Keegan took some hard bumps today.  She and this little boy collided repeatedly, but she didn't let that stop her.  I love the coach in the background of this one.

They always have fun and can't wait to get back to it next week!
